Review of charity law
Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts will lead a review of the effectiveness of the Charities Act 2006 and other law relating to charities in England and Wales. Lord Hodgson will report to Parliament by summer 2012.

Public services commissioning and tendering guide
NAVCA and the Local Government Association launch a new publication called At Your Bidding to mark Trustees' Week. At your Bidding is a guide for charity trustees about commissioning and tendering for public services.
Legacy10, founded by Roland Rudd, will ask individuals across the UK to pledge 10% of their estate to charity, in a campaign supported by Sir Richard Branson and other entrepreneurs.
CFDG and PKF publish their tenth annual risk report, titled, ‘Managing Risk: Operating in the new world’. This year’s report looks at how charities are dealing with policy, social and financial changes.
