We are delighted to invite you to our Public and Regulatory Breakfast Briefing, which will take place on Thursday 14 November 2013 in our London office.
Aimed at those working in regulatory and disciplinary settings who are responsible for setting drafting policy or overseeing the preparation of charges, this seminar will review the case law, some of which has been revisited and developed during 2013. We will consider the very different approaches taken by regulators and consider whether your organisation could challenge itself to draft charges differently (and why it might want to).
This session will be presented by Sarah Ellson and members of Fieldfisher's Public and Regulatory Law Group.
Registration and breakfast will open at 08:00; the briefing will commence at 08:30 and will conclude at 10:00.
The briefing will focus on the below topics:
- What has to be included in a charge or allegation?
- What might be omitted from a charge or allegation?
- How are Rules and Codes best referenced?
- What can Panels and Committees ultimately take into account when deciding the case and sanction?
