This follows the hearing on 3 July 2015 when the judge heard arguments as to whether the private copying exception should be quashed or whether questions should be referred to the CJEU.  For more details about the issues in the case, please see James Seadon's blog.

The judge this morning held that the private copying exception will be quashed and the court will not refer questions to the CJEU.

We expect the full judgment to be published imminently, and we'll update our blog site as soon as we have further details including when the quashing order will take effect and its likely impact.
