Mediation is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to going to an Employment Tribunal, and is of particular importance for employers given current government initiatives to promote alternative dispute resolution. It can be used to resolve disputes before they escalate and is a useful tool to deal with conflict in the workplace. If both parties agree, it can also be a potentially quicker, cheaper and less stressful solution to disputes. But mediation is still a mystery to many employers and employees.
We are holding seminars in London and Manchester which will provide a practical overview of mediation. We will look at when you can use mediation, guide you through each stage of the process and the role of the mediator. We will also include scenarios to highlight the issues which can arise during mediation and examine when it does and does not work. Each seminar will be led by expert speakers from our Employment and Pensions Group and a leading barrister/accredited mediator.
Registration for each seminar is at 09:00; the session will commence at 09:30 and conclude with lunch at 12:30.
