Fieldfisher grows personal injury capability with hire of leading industrial disease claims partner

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP announces today the appointment of partner Caroline Pinfold to the firm’s Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Group.  Caroline, an expert in asbestos-related litigation, joins the firm from Irwin Mitchell.

Fieldfisher has maintained a leading reputation in the field of industrial disease claims for the past 25 years.  In this time the firm has recovered over £177 million in 2,340 successful claims.

Caroline joined Irwin Mitchell in 2004 but prior to that was a partner at Fieldfisher, working at the firm for 20 years. She acts exclusively for mesothelioma and asbestos-related lung cancer sufferers and their families, and comes recommended as a leader in the field by the legal directories. Recent successes include the landmark High Court ruling for the successful recovery of hospice care costs (Drake v Foster Wheeler Ltd).

Caroline's appointment will further strengthen the firm's Personal Injury & Medical Negligence Group which totals seven partners and 12 other lawyers, cementing the team's reputation in the field of asbestos-related disease claims.

Peter Williams, Head of Mesothelioma & Asbestos Claims at Fieldfisher, said:  “Caroline is recognised as one of the UK's leading lawyers in the field of asbestos-related litigation and her appointment puts us at the forefront of this specialist field at a nationwide level. I am very pleased to welcome her back to the team."
