Firm advises on the acquisition of Singers Asset Finance

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has advised the management of Singers Asset Finance, a specialist provider of finance to SMEs and equipment leasing solutions to the healthcare sector, on the sale of Singers Asset Finance to Shawbrook Bank.

Shawbrook Bank is a specialist savings and lending bank which has a commitment to increasing lending to SMEs.  This acquisition will allow Shawbrook Bank to extend its secured lending offer to SMEs.  As part of the acquisition Singers Asset Finance will retain their name and brand, which will allow both Shawbrook and Singers to continue to seamlessly operate their relationships and contracts with their existing customers.

Finance partner Andrew Evans led on the deal and was assisted by Susan McCloskey, Olivia Harrisson and Joelle Dudelzak (Finance), Andrew Prowse, Mark Gearing and Jennifer Martin (Tax), Mark Holah and Hastings Guise (Trade Marks and Brand Protection), Stewart Room and Leoni Power (IP and Technology), James Warren and Neil Johnston (Employment) and John Nelmes and Gary Pickard (Real Estate).

Fieldfisher’s 10-partner Finance Group advises global investment and domestic banks, asset managers, investment funds, financial institutions, industry bodies, sovereign entities and ultra high net worth individuals on a range of international and domestic finance matters. The Group’s extensive experience on the funding of corporate acquisitions combined with its commercial approach can assist both borrowers and lenders.
