Fieldfisher partner Nicholas Thompsell has been appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge, following a selection process by the Courts and Tribunals Judiciary's Judicial Appointments Commission.
Nicholas, who joined Fieldfisher in 1992, and is a senior member of the firm's flagship financial services practice, is one of 24 appointees who will hold the role for a fixed four-year term.
Nicholas will fulfil this important public service on a part-time basis, and will continue to work at Fieldfisher.
Commenting on his appointment, Nicholas said:
