European law firm Fieldfisher has advised RM Capital as investment advisor to RM Secured Direct Lending PLC (RMDL) in making a loan to Praetura Asset Finance (PAF), the UK's premier independent asset finance specialist.
Partner Richard Todd led the investment which required bespoke structuring and documentation and marks RMDL's first move into the UK asset finance market.
The strategic financing will support PAF's fast growing loan portfolio and is secured over PAF's lending book which currently contains over 500 individual asset finance transactions. US Bank will act as security trustee.
Richard was supported by finance partner Jayne Backett and senior associate Lisa Harrison.
Commenting on the investment Richard Todd said: "Jayne and I are delighted to support RM Capital and RMDL in their direct lending business. As a firm, we have already closed a number of varied transactions for the team this year."
