Fieldfisher advised AIM-quoted Eqtec plc on a fundraising to raise gross proceeds of £16 million.
Eqtec, which is headquartered in Cork, Ireland, is an experienced developer of gasification technology which designs, supplies and builds advanced gasification facilities for energy-from-waste operations in the UK, EU and the US.
The fundraising, which was announced on 28 May 2021, comprised a placing by joint brokers Arden Partners and Canaccord raising £10.7 million, a direct subscription raising £4.3 million and a retail offer conducted via the PrimaryBid platform raising £1 million. The money raised will be used to support Eqtec's sustainable growth model, accelerate progress in existing markets, fund the entry into new markets and enhance the group’s capacity and capabilities.
The company is one of the London Stock Exchange's Green Economy Mark issuers, a classification that recognises London-listed companies that generate 50% or more of their annual revenues from green activities.
