Action taken against married trustees who paid charitable funds into their own companies

The regulator has secured a settlement for misapplied charitable funds. The two former trustees of "Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It" mismanaged and misapplied the charity’s funds and are responsible for serious mismanagement and/or misconduct. Read more here.

The Fundraising Regulator encourages charities to use its self-reporting pathway

The pathway enables organisations to report fundraising incidents where there may have been a breach of the Code of Fundraising Practice. The information gathered will help the regulator to protect the public through proactive action, intervening where necessary to support fundraising organisations and manage any arising risks. The regulator also intends to anonymise and share key learnings gathered with the sector.
