Serious Injury team shortlisted in Women and Diversity in Law Awards

We are pleased to announce that Partner Jill Greenfield, Senior Associate Claire Glasgow, Associate Eman Hassan have been shortlisted for WDLA Awards 2023.

Disputes Lawyer of the Year award

Jill Greenfield has been successfully shortlisted for the Disputes Lawyer of the Year award.

Jill is the head of personal injury and has developed something of a niche in acting for victims in high-profile sexual assault cases, including against Harvey Weinstein and the late Jeffrey Epstein. She is one of 'the few people in commercial law taking on high profile sexual assault cases'.

Returner of the Year award

Claire Glasgow has been successfully shortlisted for the Returner of the Year award.

I made a career change to law, enrolling for the GDL and LPC in my mid/late 20s. I was motivated by my passion for justice and desire to pursue a career that makes a difference to ordinary people's lives. Serious injury work allows me to focus my energy on getting the best possible outcome for those who are often at the lowest point in their lives. Promoted to senior associate in July 2022, I also became a trustee of charity Headway Sussex in spring 2022. I do pro-bono work for charities Access Social Care and Kids in Need of Defense.

Rising Star - Large Law Firm Award

Eman Hassan has been successfully shortlisted for the Rising Star - Large Law Firm Award.

My journey to qualification has been somewhat unconventional and challenging having qualified in August 2018. I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 having unfortunately not obtained a 2.1. I remember the feeling of sheer disappointment and upset, thinking that potentially my aspiration to achieving my goal to become a Solicitor of the Senior Courts was impossible. Eventually, I opted to progress my qualification through the Paralegal Equivalent Means Route. I was the first at Moore Blatch to qualify by this route and whilst the thought was terrifying, I believed that with sheer determination and hard work, there was a chance that I would be successful and happily achieved this after 18 months of tirelessly building my portfolio to reflect the work and experience I had to be admitted as a Solicitor.

Fieldfisher's Head of Just Purpose Millie Hawes is also shortlisted for her work in promoting diversity in law in the category DE&I Champion of the Year in a Specialist Role.
