£1 million secured for IT Consultant after a go-karting trip ends in brain damage

Paul McNeil acted on behalf of an IT Consultant who had gone on a go-karting trip with work. Whilst he was in the go-kart, he lost control of the go-kart which sped toward a lamp post situated at the side of the track. He hit the lamp post with significant force.

Whilst the Claimant was wearing a seatbelt and helmet, he suffered very significant brain damage.

The claim was contested throughout and experts in respect of both liability and quantum were instructed to assist. Ultimately, the claim settled for over £1 million.
