Next year will be 25 years of the adoption of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG). Prof Lars Klöhn, LL.M. (Harvard), Humboldt University Berlin, and PD Dr Sebastian Mock, LL.M. (NYU), University of Hamburg, as editors, take this opportunity to acknowledge the WpHG as a milestone for the development of modern capital markets law in Germany with a commemorative publication whose contributions reflect the developments of recent decades and describe the perspectives of securities trading law. It will be published by Walter De Gruyter. Due to his work in capital market law, the Frankfurt fieldfisher partner Dr Thorsten Voß was asked to contribute an article on the topic "Development and Perspectives of Short Selling Regulation" to this important work which unites Germany-wide and internationally leading supervisory and capital markets lawyers as authors. The publication will be presented at a ceremony at Humboldt-Universität Berlin in summer 2019."
