A main focus of my work is the strategic and conceptual planning of restructurings, transfer of undertakings, outsourcing and offshoring measures as well as corporate acquisitions including the respective labour law advice. In particular this includes the drafting of balance-of-interests and social plans as well as the negotiations with employee representatives at plant, company and group level, the representation in conciliation committees (Einigungsstellen) and the drafting and negotiation of collective agreements with unions during restructurings.

I also advise on company pensions, particularly with respect to the harmonisation of pension schemes, outsourcing of pension liabilities and the statutory obligation to adjust pension benefits. In addition, I regularly advise companies, board members, managing directors and executive employees regarding drafting, concluding and terminating employment and service contracts. Questions of employee data protection and labour law advice during compliance investigations complete my range of activities.

I’m a regular contributor to law journals and newspapers and conduct lectures and training sessions on labour law issues, in particular in-house-training for executive employees as well as for HR and legal departments.

Before joining Fieldfisher I worked for two other leading international law firms. I also worked as an adjunct professor for labour law at the University of Applied Science Fresenius in Cologne until 2014.

I’m a member of the Working Committee of Certified Specialist for Labour Law of the German Bar Association.

I advise my clients in German and English.
