Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I practiced competition law as an associate at Baker & McKenzie in Dusseldorf and Menold Bezler in Stuttgart. Previously, I worked as a stagiaire at the European Commission´s Directorate-General for Competition and in the competition department of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. (BDI) in Brussels. I studied at the University of Augsburg and obtained my doctorate on the subject of "Cartel fines against parent companies of equally owned joint ventures".
I advise on all questions concerning German and European competition law. This includes, in particular, advice on and enforcement of claims for cartel damages, merger control filings to the Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission as well as the advice of companies on compliance issues. Furthermore, a substantial part of my practice is the advice of clients in cartel fine and abuse proceedings before the national and European authorities and courts. I also regularly advise clients on distribution-related antitrust law in connection with R&D agreements and licensing agreements.
I advise my clients in German, English and Spanish.
