Geoffroy has a broad-ranging practice that covers both direct and indirect taxation, including income taxation, transfer pricing, VAT and registration duties. He regularly advises his clients in these areas of taxation. In addition, he frequently represents clients in connection with requests for advance tax rulings and tax litigations.
Geoffroy assists businesses (from start-ups to multinational groups) at all stages of their existence. In particular, he has developed expertise in (international) tax planning, management incentives, M&A and business restructurings. In addition, he assists private individuals in structuring their activities, assets and investments.
Through practical and pragmatic advices, he promotes optimal tax risk management combined with (tax) value creation.
Geoffroy serves clients from various sectors, with a particular focus on real estate, life sciences, private equity, technology and media sectors. His experience in these sectors has involved Geoffroy working on landmark real estate projects, so-called “mega-deals” and the issuance of flagship pharmaceutical patented products.
Geoffroy is also Professor at the ICHEC Brussels Management School and Teaching Assistant at the University of Liège. He authored numerous articles on Belgian and international tax topics. He frequently lectures and gives speeches on Belgian and international tax topics.
Geoffroy holds a Master’s degree in law from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL), a Master’s degree in political sciences from the same university and post Master’s degree in tax from the Solvay Brussels School.
Before joining Fieldfisher, Geoffroy gained extensive experience in various tax aspects in two top tier law firms.
Geoffroy is member of the French Order of the Brussels Bar and of the International Fiscal Association’s Belgian branch (IFA).
He is a native French speaker, and he speaks Dutch and English.
