In addition to its strong UK rankings, Fieldfisher has achieved recognition in 12 practice categories across seven geographies in the Chambers & Partners Global Guide 2022 with its technology and dispute resolution practices featuring highly in the rankings.
European law firm Fieldfisher has achieved key departmental rankings and individual recognition for a number of its leading practitioners in the latest edition of Chambers Global.
The global directory, including the Spanish rankings, recognises the contribution of 19 Fieldfisher lawyes in their respective specialisms, across seven geographies and 12 practice areas.
Practice rankings
The strongest showing for Fieldfisher in this year's global guide is for Dispute Resolution where the firm obtained four rankings consisting of Band 5 in Spain and Band 4 in Belgium for Dispute Resolution; Band 4 for Litigation and Band 5 for International Arbitration in the UK; and a place on the spotlight table for its Russia Dispute Resolution work.
Fieldfisher Belgium also received a Band 5 ranking for its Corporate/M&A practice and the UK office securing a Band 1 rank for its Technology Sector (International & Cross-Border) work, Band 2 for its Capital Markets: Derivatives practice and Band 3 for its Intellectual Property practice.
Adding to Fieldfisher's credentials in the technology space, the Chambers & Partners Global Guide 2022 placed the firm in Band 3 for Data Protection - Europe-wide and Band 3 for Data Protection - Global: Multi-Jurisdictional.
The Brussels-based trade team received a Europe-wide Band 3 ranking for International Trade/WTO with the guide stating, "Fieldfisher has a standout presence on the complainant side of EU trade defence investigations.".
The directory also recognises the firm's work in Franchising, placing it in Band 4 of its Global Market Leaders table.
Individual rankings
Of the individual Fieldfisher practitioners recognised in this year's edition, two of its lawyers appear in Band 1; four in Band 3; five in Band 4; two in Band 5 and two in Band 6.
Fieldfisher Belgium partner Koen Van den Broeck is recognised among only three 'Senior Statespeople' in the guide for Dispute Resolution: Litigation.
According to Koen's entry in the directory, he has, "…a stellar reputation for his disputes expertise, offering notable experience in litigation regarding liability claims and corporate disputes" with one commentator remarking, "He has an aura of seniority and respectability which is very useful."
