Professional background

I specialise in substantial arbitration and High Court commercial disputes often of an international nature. I have advised clients across a diverse range of sectors on claims relating to breaches of contract, warranty claims, partnership disputes, negligence, misrepresentation and fraud. I am experienced in regulator investigations and have advised individuals on their personal liabilities in actual and potential FCA investigations relating to insider trading, bribery and improper conduct. I also advised the principal witness in a long running OFT (now the CMA) price fixing investigation and a number of individuals in relation to HMRC investigations into tax avoidance schemes.

Recent cases include LCIA arbitrations for the recovery of banking loans and international investment treaty arbitrations under the ICSID Convention and UNCITRAL Rules.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming and am a keen gardener currently studying for the RHS Level 3 principles of horticulture certificates.
