Professional background
I have more than thirty-five years of experience in the fields of Franchising and Complex Litigation.
As a franchising expert, I advise numerous franchisors — including some of the most prominent worldwide — on a wide range of matters, including the review of all types of franchise and distribution agreements, conflict management, and litigation with franchisees and franchisee associations, as well as national and international expansion. I am also a Legal Advisor and Founder of the Spanish Franchise Association (AEF), President of its Committee of Experts since 2004, and an arbitrator for WIPO.
In the area of Complex Litigation, since 2008 I have led numerous collective litigation proceedings (representing multiple claimant companies or defending companies against multiple claimants) that have received significant jurisprudential and social recognition. For this purpose, I work with cutting-edge technological platforms and generative AI. I have extensive experience in litigation funding, monetisation and insurance.
I have authored numerous articles in leading Spanish media outlets and have co-authored several publications.
