Alain advises and assists corporate and individual clients in a wide range of tax matters involving both Belgian and international tax law. Focusing on corporate tax and VAT, he has developed a strong know-how in advising clients regarding complex tax matters including transfer pricing matters, fixed establishment issues and cross-border operations.
Alain also assists clients in their tax litigations and disputes before the Belgian Courts and in their tax administrative procedures, negotiation and conclusion of settlement agreements with the tax authorities.
Alain holds a Master’s degree in law from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL) and a Specialized Master’s degree in Tax Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). During his studies, he also joined the Erasmus exchange programme with the University of Luxembourg.
Alain authored several articles in national and international legal journals
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, Alain gained experience in the tax department of a top tier firm.
He is a native French and Dutch speaker, is fluent in English and also has basic notions of Spanish.
