Each year, Décideurs updates its ranking for Africa-dedicated practices, highlighting the development of "African expertise" across law firms and the breadth of services offered to clients with activities in Africa.
Our partners in the Africa Group, based in Paris and London, are recognised among best practitioners globally in several practices: Tax, Project Financing, TMT, Natural Resources and Renewable Energy, and Corporate/M&A.
This is an excellent achievement for the Africa Group, and demonstrates the results of cross-office and cross-practice thinking and collaboration.
The rankings are as follows:
In Tax Law
Paris tax partner François de Senneville has maintained his ranking in the "Excellent" tier.
In Natural Resources and Renewable Energy
Francois de Senneville, Head of Mining and Metals Jonathan Brooks, banking partner Oliver Abel Smith, Co-Head of Energy and Natural Resources Dominic Gurney-Champion and Head of Oil and Gas Paul Stockley (all based in London) are ranked in the "Excellent" tier band 2, up 1 tier from their "Highly recommended" ranking in 2020 with a first-time ranking for Paul as a Fieldfisher partner.
