European law firm Fieldfisher has been featured in Global Arbitration Review's 2022 guide to 'approved' international arbitration firms around the world (GAR 100).

GAR is the world's leading international arbitration journal and news service and its highly respected GAR 100 is now in its 15th edition.

The firm's international arbitration practice, which comprises 80 fee earners including 25 partners, spans its European network. The practice was commended for its work with clients whose interests are primarily in Europe, the CIS and Africa, as well as its broader international presence, notably in cases involving major natural resources and construction projects.

Fieldfisher was particularly recognised for its expertise in commercial disputes and investment treaty arbitrations.

The arbitration practice is led from London by partners Simon Sloane and Daniel Hayward. Other notable London practitioners include partners Tracey Wright, Alexandra Underwood Colin Gibson, James Lewis and Arik Aslanyan, alongside Richard Waugh in Birmingham.

Paris partner Marily Paralika leads the firm's arbitration practice in France, with the Italian practice overseen by Alessandro Scagliarini in Milan; the Spanish practice by Mercedes Caral in Barcelona; and the Belgian practice by Koen Van den Broeck, with Maxime Berlingin, in Brussels.

A new India practice is being led from London by partner Shivani Sanghi.

Other key arbitration practitioners are based in Munich and Madrid, supported by complementary practices in the firm's wider international network.

Filedfisher's arbitration client roster includes oil and gas businesses, financial services and commodities companies, as well as high net worth individuals. This includes state-owned oil and gas companies in the CIS region, notably Kazakhstan, and instructions involving states in Europe and Africa.

With experience in many of the world's major and emerging arbitration centres, in 2022, the firm is acting on significant LCIA, ICC and ICSID cases, among others.
