With more than 25 years of professional experience in the field of commercial law, Ana Úbeda specialises in M&A transactions and business investment processes at national and international level.
She has been in charge of advising companies on all kinds of corporate matters, holding the position of Secretary of the Board of Directors of Spanish companies in different sectors. Her experience includes corporate restructuring operations such as mergers, spin-offs and corporate reorganisations, as well as contractual matters in general.
For more than 20 years, she has developed extensive expertise in the field of franchising, agency and distribution, advising companies on business expansion processes and out-of-court dispute resolution.
In the course of her professional career, she has also advised international groups in the process of setting up in Spain, in the creation of joint ventures for the development of business projects and in the negotiation and closing of business collaboration agreements.
She holds a Law Degree from the CEU Abat Oliba University of Law and a Master's Degree in European Union Law from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
She has developed her professional career and expertise at GAPO (Brussels Office), Pedrosa Lagos, Garrigues and RSM, where she was Partner and Head of the Commercial Department.
In addition to her vocation as a lawyer, she is currently an associate lecturer at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, teaching different subjects in the field of law and participating in numerous conferences and seminars for different organisations.
She regularly contributes articles to various publications and is a member of various associations and organisations such as Barcelona Global, El Cercle d'Economia and EJE&CON. She also holds the position of Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Associació de Franquícies de Catalunya (AFC) and is a member of the Committee of Legal Experts of the Spanish Franchisers Association (AEF).
She works and advises her clients in Spanish, Catalan, English and French.
