My contentious experience includes acting for employers in relation to complex, multimillion-pound claims in the Employment Tribunals and appellate courts (up to the Supreme Court). My non-contentious specialism includes advising private sector clients on senior executive appointments and terminations, mergers and acquisitions, business re-organisations involving TUPE and large-scale outsourcing programmes. I also assist with straightforward practical employment issues such as long-term absence/ ill-health cases, grievance proceedings and performance management/ disciplinary cases, and in drafting service agreements and policies.
I have completed two successful secondments, including for a global financial services group, where I assisted the in-house lawyers with running several Employment Tribunal files. I also spent time on secondment with a large industrial company where I completed a national minimum wage audit.
In my personal life, I like to travel and (attempt to) run and play football in order to maintain my fitness levels.
