I have over 15 years of experience as an international disputes lawyer gained at some of the leading European law firms in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Paris.

I specialise in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as in commercial, corporate and class action litigation. I have extensive experience acting as counsel in international and domestic arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, SCC, NAI and UNCITRAL rules as well as in civil proceedings before the Dutch courts, with a focus on energy (oils & gas, renewables), infrastructure, construction, environmental, financial services, commercial, and post M&A disputes. I also represent both claimants and defendants in collective redress proceedings in relation to environmental damage, loss of shareholder value, privacy, and competition law infringements.

Furthermore, I sit as an arbitrator and regularly advise on issues of conflicts of laws, public international law, investment law, ESG, business and human rights, third party funding and artificial intelligence.

I have published extensively in the field of international arbitration, have held numerous speaking engagements, and have guest-lectured on topics of international arbitration and advocacy at various academic institutions. I have been recommended in Who's Who Legal Arbitration: Future Leaders since 2019. I am a member of the Investment Arbitration Committee of the Dutch Arbitration Association, the International Arbitration and Litigation Commissions of the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats and the ESG Arbitration Subcommittee of the International Bar Association.

I am admitted to the Dutch Bar (Amsterdam) since 2008 and registered with the Paris Bar under Directive 98/5/EC since 2019. I hold master's degrees in international law and economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and an LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London.

Having lived, studied and/or worked in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, and the Netherlands, I consider myself a true European citizen. I am fluent in Dutch, German, English and French.

I have registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Civil litigation (Burgerlijk procesrecht) as principal area, with Arbitration (Arbitrage), Litigation (Litigation) and Attachment and Enforcement (Beslag- en executierecht) as secondary practice areas. Based on this registration, I am required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in Civil Litigation in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
