I advise both private and public sector clients in relation to public and regulatory law issues, with a particular focus on healthcare, life sciences and food regulation.

My work with public sector clients relates to all aspects of their statutory functions, including complaints/discipline, investigations and enforcement, prosecutions, and corporate governance. I have particular experience in the management of complaints received by regulatory bodies, from preliminary stage through to sanction, including the investigation, preparation and presentation of cases for hearing before committees and boards of regulatory bodies. I am an experienced advocate and regularly appear before statutory committees, councils and boards to make applications and submissions.

In addition I advise clients in regulated industries in relation to regulatory risk and opportunities, and have assisted clients in the food and drinks sector on the application of domestic and EU regulatory regimes. I have also provided advice to corporate clients in respect of commercial transactions with a regulatory dimension.

I hold an MSc in Food Regulatory Affairs from the University of Ulster and University College Dublin, am contributor to a number of publications in the area of nutrition and food regulation, and lecture part-time in University College Dublin, teaching food law to undergraduates.
