The nomination in the "Medium Deal" category reflects the team's role in a number of high-profile deals over the course of FY 2020/2021, many of which involved large, cross-practice teams working for international clients to extremely demanding timelines.
Notable M&A deals Fieldfisher has advised on in the past year include:
Advising Japan-headquartered cash management technology group Glory Global Solutions on a US$223 million investment in French payment kiosk developer Acrelec in February 2020;
Acting for UK-listed Haynes Publish Group on its £114.5 million takeover by France's Infopro Digital in March 2020;
Advising KeyMed Limited, a member of the Olympus group, on the acquisition of Arc Medical Design Limited from Dutch pharmaceutical business Norgine B.V in August 2020; and
Acting for a company connected with Italian confectionary company Ferrero SpA on its agreement to buy Fox’s branded and retailer own-brand biscuit business from Northern Foods Grocery Group Limited (NFGG) in October 2020.
Commenting on the nomination, Fieldfisher corporate partner Mark Walker said:"We are thrilled to be recognised for our M&A team's capabilities.
"We advised on a number of stand-out deals in the last financial year and the quality of the clients we work with and the complexity of the transactions are testament to the level of service we offer.
"This nomination for the British Legal Awards represents the hard work and dedication of our UK team, as well as the invaluable support frequently provided by our international colleagues in bringing deals to successful conclusions."
The winner of the British Legal Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on 17 November.
