Fieldfisher's Corporate and Commercial Team recently acted for US owned equipment group Briggs in their acquisition of Balloo Hire’s Dublin-based business. The group, which is part of the Dallas headquartered Sammons Enterprises, acquired the Northern Ireland business of Balloo Hire Centres Limited in 2019.
The acquisition is part of Briggs continued expansion on the island of Ireland, acquiring two additional companies.The group said the latest deals would further strengthen Briggs’s presence within the Irish market, and help diversify its product and service offering to include the hire of plant, welfare units, pumps, generators, variable message signs and the provision of traffic management solutions.
Speaking on Fieldfisher's role in the transaction, Head of Corporate and Commercial Feilim O'Caoimh said:
