Professional background

I am a qualified lawyer in England & Wales, the State of New York, and Russia. I advise (ultra)high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients on complex, high-value disputes, with a focus on multi-jurisdictional litigation before the English High Court and international arbitration under the LCIA, LMAA, ICC, and UNCITRAL Rules.

My experience spans a range of sectors including oil & gas, luxury goods, shipping, insurance, tourism, and pharmaceuticals.

Representative matters include:

  • The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases of 2024 - Acting for a businessman defending a $2 billion High Court fraud claim;
  • Representing the investor in a multi-million dollar investment treaty arbitration in the MENA region;
  • Representing claimants in LCIA proceedings arising out of the termination of a joint venture for the development of synthetic diamond production;
  • Acting for a defendant Caribbean-based company in an LCIA arbitration in relation to a breach of contract claim;
  • Acting for a claimant in LCIA proceedings arising from the collapse of a vaccine manufacturing project;
  • Acting for a company in a claim against a former director to recover damages arising from fraudulent conduct;
  • Acting for a defendant in three concurrent LMAA arbitrations concerning claims for demurrage and deviation;
  • Acting for a high-net-worth individual in a dispute concerning breach of contract relating to the construction of a superyacht;
  • Acting for a high-net-worth individual in a dispute concerning damage to contemporary art sculpture identified upon delivery.

In addition to my client work, I co-lead Fieldfisher’s partnership programme with Access Social Care, a charity providing free legal advice and information to people with social care needs, helping them achieve a better quality of life.

Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy horse riding and visiting art galleries and museums. I am also a proud Cornell University alumna.
