Mercè is a lawyer specialising in advising individuals and companies, accompanying them in their development and activity, as well as in the resolution of their conflicts. She has been working in this field for more than thirty years, tenaciously and proactively seeking to provide solutions to clients with a strategic and legal vision. With these objectives in mind, she intervenes in legal assistance and in the negotiation and drafting of contracts.
In particular, she advises in the area of family businesses, seeking to maintain the continuity and strengthening of companies and to avoid corporate and inheritance conflicts.
She also carries out part of his professional activity in the monitoring and resolution of extrajudicial, judicial and arbitration disputes at both national and international level. She has been involved in the defence and resolution of disputes in a wide range of matters, including inheritance and family disputes, corporate and real estate disputes, contractual and non-contractual liability, as well as disputes arising from the sale and purchase of companies and international trade and distribution.
She has been president of the Civil Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association (2001-2003) and has also been a lecturer in Civil Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and an adjunct lecturer in International Commercial Arbitration at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
She is a member of the International Relations Committee of the Barcelona Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and has chaired the Barcelona/Madrid chapter of the American Bar Association since 2013. She is also a member of the American Bar Foundation.
