In his 30 years of professional career, Joan Vidal has worked as a lawyer specialising in advising companies and developing their activities both nationally and internationally.
He has developed his work in the negotiation and drafting of partnership agreements, which include both simple joint venture agreements and commercial agreements for mergers and acquisitions, as well as accompanying the creation of subsidiary companies in different jurisdictions. He has also developed his practice in the area of dispute prevention and resolution of disputes arising from such agreements.
Over the years, he has developed part of his professional activity in the monitoring and resolution of disputes arising from relations between commercial and corporate partners and with third parties; which have been exposed in national and transnational proceedings before Spanish judicial bodies or in ADR proceedings in international arbitration bodies.
Likewise, his experience has enabled him to provide legal assistance in the negotiation and drafting of contracts in the field of engineering and construction, as well as in complex operations in the hotel sector and real estate development.
He is currently a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) in the International Sales, Trade, Franchising and Product Law Committee and the Construction Law Committee of the International Business Law Consortium (IBLC), as well as a member of the Associazione Internazionale Giuristi di Lingua italiana (AIGLI).
He is also a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), a group of elite lawyers from over 30 countries, made up of prosecutors and defence lawyers who advise on criminal cases and civil proceedings. He is also a member of the Catalan Association of Experts in Inheritance Law, a subject on which he lectures and gives presentations at specialised courses and conferences for lawyers at the Barcelona Bar Association.
