I have provided strategic and practical advice on the full range of privacy and data protection issues affecting business operations over a period of more than 20 years.
I support a wide range of clients on new product development, big data analytics, international data transfers, ad tech privacy issues, digital marketing, AI systems and applications and AI governance. I also provide support in developing and managing (often global) privacy compliance programmes and in relation to other multi-jurisdictional privacy projects. I lead on the provision of data protection officer services to UK and international clients across different sectors.
My practice has spanned a wide range of businesses from start-ups to global brands, as well as public sector entities, and a broad range of sectors, including the technology, retail, media, gaming, travel, pensions, property management, ad tech, premiership football, telecommunications, life sciences and financial services sectors.
In addition, I am a cyber-breach specialist. I help clients to assess risk in the context of incidents and to navigate potentially complex notification matrices.
I am a dual-qualified UK and EU (Ireland) lawyer and a member of the Faculty of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. As part of this Faculty, I give CIPP/E, Foundations of Privacy and Data Protection and AI Governance Professional training to privacy and AI pros based in many different international locations.
I also hold FIP, CIPP/E and CIPM status, an LLM Degree (Masters) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law (Distinction).
