Professional background

I have a particular interest and experience in advising clients on new product roll out risk assessments, including entering new markets. I advise clients on legal issues around the re-using and monetisation of the personal data they handle.  

I have extensive experience in advising on international data transfers matters, personal data security breaches, data subject requests and regulatory investigations. 

I work for a varied range of clients and sectors with a focus on life sciences and digital health and medical devices and other sectors such as technology and travel. My clients vary from startups to well stablished household names.

I am a dual-qualified (England & Wales / Spain) lawyer and hold CIPP/E and CIPM certifications. I am recognised as a FIP by the IAPP. I write articles and regular blog posts on current matters. I co-author the BCR chapter for Lexis Nexis.

Data Act enforcement update

The EU Data Act is a Regulation (not a Directive), so it applies automatically across EU Member States. Most provisions took effect from 12 September 2025. However, enforcement will vary locally as each Member State designates its competent authority and sets the penalties applicable to infringements.
