I have extensive experience in large investment sales and purchases (single properties and portfolios) various structures for indirect investment in property and all aspects of non-contentious landlord and tenant work.  I have acted on a number of sales and lease backs and also have experience of site assembly and re-development with particular expertise in rights of light issues.

I act for a major institutional investor and a number of charities and also for corporate occupiers acquiring new accommodation, re-negotiating terms of existing occupations and assisting tenants in managing their exit on breaks or surrenders.

I have also acted on a number of substantial residential transactions both in London and in the country, including the sale of a stately home and estate.

I am described in Chambers 2014 as 'very knowledgeable' and have been recommended in the Legal 500 as 'a pleasure to work with'.

I am a member of the Investment Property Forum and on the City of London Law Society Land Law Committee (CLLS) and was part of the sub-committee reviewing the CLLS form of certificate of title.

I have written articles and spoken on a wide variety of topics from overage and rights of light to lease renewals under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and landlord and tenant insolvency.

I speak conversational French, and when not running around after three teenage children, I am learning to sing and struggling to train a wayward cairn terrier.  I also enjoy escaping to the remote north west coast of Scotland and the Scottish Islands.
