Guillermo Ponce de León Ruiz

I am a lawyer specialised in Intellectual Property and Information Technology, with four years of experience. My professional career has focused on advising leading Spanish and international companies in the new technologies, software and retail industries, among others. I have extensive experience in software copyright matters, advising on projects involving emerging technologies, e-commerce platforms and software development and licensing. I also work in the field of data protection, including serving as Data Protection Officer for various companies.

Before joining Fieldfisher Spain, I spent four years working in the Intellectual Property and New Technologies departments at ECIJA.

I hold a Law Degree from the University of Alicante and have completed a Master’s Degree in ICT Law, Social Networks and Intellectual Property at ESADE Business School, as well as a Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession from the Open University of Catalonia (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya).
