My practice focuses on a broad swathe of EU product regulatory matters involving everything from chemicals (REACH, biocides, pesticides, and CLP) through to detergents, cosmetics, toys, packaging, single-use plastics, WEEE/RoHS, waste, ecocide etc. This includes general compliance advice, strategic advice on anticipated legislative changes, and risk/crisis advice on product liability and product recall issues. I also advise on contentious matters, and have represented many clients in legal/quasi-legal proceedings before the European Courts, European Agencies, and national courts.
I also advise groups of companies on the collective support of certain chemical substances under the REACH, biocides or pesticides frameworks.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I trained and practised in the commercial law field in Ireland and in a competition law firm in Brussels.
My university education compromised legal and business studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway, UCD Smurfit Business School, Dublin, and Vrije Universiteit, Brussels.
My bar admissions include the roll of solicitors in Ireland, the Brussels Bar (E-list), and the Law Society of England and Wales (non-practising).
I am also Fluent in English and French.
