Professional Profile and Bio
Gerard's practice focuses on regulatory matters involving chemicals, biocides, and pesticides, and includes contentious work before the European Courts and European Agencies, and also non-contentious work providing advice to consortia and individual companies on the review and/or marketing of their products in Europe.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, he trained and practised in the commercial law field in Ireland and in a competition law firm in Brussels.
Gerard is a law and business graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway, of UCD Smurfit Business School, Dublin, and of Vrije Universiteit, Brussels.
He is admitted to the roll of solicitors in Ireland and the Brussels Bar (E-list), and speaks English and French.
