Fieldfisher advises Pneumax on a strategic acquisition

Led by the firm's Milan office, Fieldfisher has advised Pneumax Group on acquiring a 90% stake at the Automationware S.r.l.

Pneumax, a multinational industrial automation technologies company acquired 90% of Automationware S.r.l., a manufacturer of electric actuators, an alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic systems to offer greater accuracy, reliability and implemented energy efficiency.

This strategic acquisition will enable Pneumax to enhance its technology offering through the integration of Automationware components and solutions into its product portfolio. The range of linear and rotary actuators will be completed with customs solutions, including the realisation of embedded kinematic, pneumatic, and mechatronic systems, applicable in production plants, accelerating T2M (time to market) in line with connectivity and energy savings.

Pneumax was advised by Partner Diego Rigatti and assisted by Senior Associate Filippo Attanasio.

Commenting on the deal, Partner Diego Rigatti said:

"Together with Filippo, we are pleased to have successfully helped the fantastic team at Pneumax in navigating through a year-long negotiation, for a deal that changed its path along the way, from a gradual take-over scheme, and a phase of joint venture development, to a one-shot acquisition, boosting the integration of the target into the Pneumax group."

Rossella Bottacini, CEO of Pneumax said:

"This is a strategic operation in the history of the Pneumax Group, one of the most significant, which is particularly focused on creating a crucial technological pole in Italy to be exported globally. Moreover, it will enable us to meet the growing demand for application solutions, highlighting our ability to offer not only single products but also integrated solutions".

Fabio Rossi, CEO of Automationware, added:

"This acquisition by Pneumax perfects our global presence and support, thanks to a sales network capable of satisfying the needs of customers around the world. It allows us to accelerate development, including industrial development, by evolving current actuators for performance and new technologies for overall control and management".
