The financing will enable the hospitality technology pioneer to further grow its business and team and invest heavily in its leading technology.

European law firm Fieldfisher has advised HotelRunner, the fast-growing global hospitality and travel technology provider, on a US$6.5 million Series A financing from a group of new and existing investors, including 212, Wix Capital, Founders Factory, Ascension Ventures, and DHM, as well as a group of seasoned angel investors who also joined the advisory board of the company, Gerry Samuels, Melih Odemis, Daniel King and Niels Gron.

The funding will go toward accelerating the growth of the business and the team, as well as investing in HotelRunner's unified sales, operations, and distribution management platform and B2B market network for accommodations, travel agencies and payment providers.

The London-headquartered company plans to open offices in the Americas in the coming months and grow its existing client base in the US and Latin America.

The financing follows the signing of a strategic partnership agreed upon in 2022 between HotelRunner and Wix, a NASDAQ-listed leading global SaaS platform, to jointly develop and expand their online management services for the hospitality sector.

HotelRunner and Wix, as part of the strategic partnership, combined Wix’s comprehensive online platform with HotelRunner’s end-to-end travel technology offering a complete solution for all types of accommodation properties to manage and grow their hospitality businesses online.

The Fieldfisher team advising HotelRunner on the Series A investment and partnership with Wix was led by Corporate Partner Tom Ward, with support on the software licensing arrangement from Technology Partner John Brunning.

Commenting on the Series A financing and partnership, Fieldfisher Corporate Partner Tom Ward said:

"This deal is an example of Fieldfisher's strength in advising international emerging tech companies on their establishment in the UK/EU markets and venture capital transactions, software development, and licensing arrangements.

"I would like to congratulate Arden, Ali, and the HotelRunner team on securing this financing to underpin their next phase of growth.

Regarding the investment, HotelRunner’s Founder and Managing Partner Arden Agopyan said:

We began working with Tom, John, and the Fieldfisher team at the earliest stage and they were very valuable from all the way to negotiations and closings.

"Fieldfisher’s understanding of our technology and business model along with their global expertise in every aspect of business law was impressive, making the whole process seamless for HotelRunner. We will continue to develop leading global technology products for our partners as we simultaneously grow our base in new markets.

Ali Beklen, Founder and Managing Partner of HotelRunner added:

We would like to thank the Fieldfisher team for their valiant and outstanding efforts and for helping our company to cement its position of pioneering the travel technologies in global markets with their extensive knowledge.

"We are continuously investing in our technology to deliver industry-leading products and to help our partners to achieve sustainable growth. Working with Tom, John, and the team at Fieldfisher is a real pleasure.
