The Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) is a comprehensive disclosure framework, which was developed by George Socha and Tom Gelbmann in 2005. The purpose of EDRM is to guide eDiscovery/eDisclosure practitioners through the disclosure process in a structured and defined manner.

EDRM is used in best disclosure practice as a standard for the recovery and disclosure of digital data in the context of litigation and arbitration. Following the model ensures that disclosure projects are conducted in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

PD57AD, which governs Disclosure in the UK's Business and Property Courts, includes procedures that are to be followed whilst parties seek, or are considering seeking, Extended Disclosure. We have adapted EDRM to align with these procedural steps. Please click on the link below to access a copy of the flow-chart.
