Fieldfisher JAUSAS has hired Ana Úbeda as a partner to reinforce the commercial and mergers and acquisitions team in the firm's Barcelona office.
With over 25 years of experience, Ana comes to Fieldfisher JAUSAS from RSM Tax & Legal, having previously spent a large part of her career at Spanish-headquartered international law firm, Garrigues.
Ana is an expert in M&A deals and investment processes in both investment and business funds on a national as well as an international level.
She advises companies on all types of corporate matters; international groups on their implementation process in Spain; the creation of joint ventures for the development of business projects; and negotiating and closing business collaboration agreements.
Ana has also developed extensive experience in the field of franchising, agency and distribution, advising companies on expansion projects and on the resolution of conflicts in an extrajudicial manner.
She is currently Treasurer of the Board of Directors at the Association of Franchises of Catalonia and a member of the Committee of Legal Experts at the Spanish Association of Franchisers. Ana combines her professional career with teaching as an associate professor at Pompeu Fabra University.
