The Personal Injury Awards 2020, now in its thirteenth year, celebrates the excellence of individuals and organisations across the personal injury sector and winners are selected by a panel of judges.
Announcing Jill as the winner, Alison Somek of Somek & Associates stated "The winner of the Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year is a testament to their profession and the personal injury sector. They carry out extensive pro bono work, education of the public through media and press, and their cases will make a significant, long-term difference to the individuals involved and others in society."
Jill's work involves acting for those most severely injured, regularly recovering multimillion pound awards. She has campaigned extensively for the rights of victims of terrorism and is involved in a number of high profile cases involving victims of terrorism and rape as well as victims of road traffic accidents and accidents at work.
Jill commented "I was really pleased to be named Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year. I appreciate the recognition, but it is really due to the hard work of everybody in our fantastic Serious Injury team."
Jill is recognised by Chambers & Partners legal directory as a 'Star Individual' and was included in The Lawyer Hot 100 2019. In 2018, she was shortlisted as Woman Lawyer of the Year at the Law Society Excellence Awards, and her team won the Solicitors Journal Personal Injury team of the Year in 2017.
