Australian victim of hit and run 'tremendously grateful' for support and settlement of personal injury claim

Ms M, originally from Australia, was studying law in the UK at the time of the collision, which occurred on her birthday during the pandemic, meaning there was limited support available for her. She was taken to the Royal London Hospital for emergency treatment.

An immediate claim was made under the Untraced Driver's Motor Insurers Bureau Scheme since we did not have the identity of the driver. We obtained agreement for an Initial Needs Assessment under the Rehabilitation Code.

Funding was agreed and support for Ms M was received under the Code, including neuropsychology, neuro occupational therapy and private tuition. This was really important for Ms M to provide her with the support to get through her exams on her way to graduation.

Eman worked collaboratively with the MIB and obtained medico-legal evidence to understand our client's future prognosis, help her continue with her studies and maximise her quality of life.

Following settlement, Ms M said:
