6-figure settlement within a year for father injured on his bike
Mr A was working in the City and living with his partner and newborn at the time of the collision.. He had always been extremely active. He was on his way to work when the car collided with him seriously fracturing his right tibia and fibula. He was taken to the Royal London Hospital for surgery and remained in hospital for more than a week.
Within two weeks of instruction, we obtained agreement for an Initial Needs Assessment under the Rehabilitation Code. Funding was agreed imminently and support for Mr A was received under the Code, including:

- Cleaners
- Gym Membership
- Private Orthopaedic Consultation
- Exogen bone stimulator trial for a year to assist with the union of the fracture.

Mr A returned to work four-months after the accident and the funds supplied enabled him to travel to and from the City by taxi while he was still having difficulty with his mobility.

The insurers made an early offer and following conference with Mr A and Counsel, we settled Mr A's case. Settlement will help him to move forward with his life and obtain closure on what has been an extremely difficult time for him and his family. He will also be able to live independently again.
Following settlement, Mr A said:
