The ICO has recently issued a new version of its AI toolkit. We will describe the toolkit and provide practical tips on how to use it including such questions as: who is it for? what does it contain? does it replace the requirement to carry out a DPIA?
We will also consider the need for AI governance beyond data protection and the consequences of failure, and practical steps that may be required of your organisation.
The outcome of the UK's consultation on Data Reform is now out. This includes proposals for changes in the regulation of the use of AI technologies and to the accountability framework. We will explain what may the new UK regime look like post reform and how this may affect AI privacy compliance for those developing or procuring AI technologies.
Although we focus on UK developments, this will also be of interest to a wider audience.
