As an employment lawyer based in Madrid, I specialise in advising international companies from a wide range of sectors (including technology, pharmaceutical, business consultancy, retail, industry) as well as office-based employees on all aspects of employment, labour and Social Security law in Spain.
My practice focuses heavily on international and cross-border matters, with an emphasis on understanding and translating the differences in business culture and HR needs between our clients’ jurisdictions and Spain.
Among others, I provide advice on day-to-day employment matters, participate in restructuring, TUPE, collective bargaining and trade union-related proceedings, as well as regularly represent clients in mediations and court proceedings before local judges, High Courts and the Supreme Court.
I also frequently assist clients in drafting and negotiating employment contracts (including those for senior management), drafting and implementing company policies and setting up as new employers in Spain. As part of my international experience, I participated in a 6-month internship at Fieldifsher's Dublin office and completed part of my law studies in the United States (Duke University School of Law) and Germany (Freie Universität Berlin).
