The Government published advice on the ability of businesses to transfer data between the EU and the UK post-Brexit.  The Government has made clear that 'business as usual' cannot be guaranteed and much will depend on the position taken by the EU (and the UK) authorities that could allow – or deny – the free flow of personal data to countries outside the EU.  The Fieldfisher Privacy, Security and Information Law team have taken a detailed look at how firms on both sides of the Channel can best prepare for the different Brexit scenarios and minimise the potential disruption to data flows between the UK and the EU (and vice-versa) that are so essential for so many businesses.
