Professional background

I am part of Fieldfisher London’s International Trade team, which is ranked Band 1 for Sanctions by Chambers and Partners. I am recognised as a 'key lawyer' in 'EU and competition: trade, WTO anti-dumping, customs, and sanctions' in the 2026 edition of Legal 500.

My experience includes preparing applications to the UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) for new anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations on behalf of UK industries. I was part of the team that advised the TRA on a significant judicial review case that reaffirmed the TRA’s investigative approach and clarified the scope of its legal obligations (R (Caterpillar) v Secretary of State for Business and Trade and Trade Remedies Authority [2025] EWHC 1124 (Admin)).

I regularly advise clients on compliance with UK and EU sanctions regimes against various jurisdictions, and have assisted high-net-worth individuals in challenging sanctions designations.

I support the UK Department for Business and Trade on free trade agreement negotiations, including the UK-Swiss and UK-Turkey FTAs, having drafted UK chapter text for each negotiation.

Prior to joining Fieldfisher, I spent three years working within one of New Zealand's largest corporate teams at MinterEllisonRuddWatts, which is ranked Band 1 by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and Chambers Asia-Pacific. During that time, I advised the Department for International Trade (now the Department for Business and Trade) on the UK-New Zealand free trade agreement negotiations. I also advised clients on all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including New Zealand's foreign direct investment regime.

I hold a First Class Honours Degree in Law and a Bachelor of Management Studies with a major in Economics from the University of Waikato (New Zealand), where I graduated as the top Honours student in Law in 2019. My background in economics and corporate law enables me to deliver pragmatic, business-focused solutions for clients.
