Professional background

I am a Senior Assocaite (Chartered Trade Mark Attorney), with over 10 years' experience working in the field of trade marks and brand protection

I have experience in formulating worldwide trade mark filing strategies, undertaking clearance searches, trade mark filing and prosecution work before the UK Intellectual Property Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office, as well as managing trade mark portfolios internationally.

I deal with contentious matters such as opposition and non-use revocation actions before the trade mark registries and negotiate settlements in trade mark disputes.

I have worked across multiple industry sectors and also have significant experience in advising multinational consumer goods companies. I also have a particular interest in the protection of PGI'S, PDO's and the protection of flags under Article 6ter of the Paris Convention.

I am a member of The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and have also contributed numerous times to the membership publication CITMA Review. I am also currently a member of the CITMA Review Editorial working group.

I enjoy spending my spare time playing and watching sport including football, tennis and badminton.
