I am a member of the firm's CIS Group and have extensive experience in advising Russian-speaking clients from the CIS region on corporate and commercial matters.

I specialise in and regularly advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, including private and public M&A and cross-border transactions, as well as joint ventures, equity and capital markets, corporate restructurings, corporate governance and general corporate and commercial matters.

My recent projects include acting for Coöperatieve KMG EP U.A. and its parent company JSC National Company "KazMunayGas" (KMG), Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company, in respect of a set of cross-border, inter-linked transactions between KMG and the subsidiaries of Chinese state-owned investment fund, CITIC Group. The package of transactions included two share sales in indirect oil and gas companies (including Caspi Bitum JV LLP, a bitumen plant owner and UTTiOS LLP, a business providing transportation and special equipment services to oil and gas companies), and updating existing shareholder arrangements in respect of the oil and gas joint venture with CITIC Resources Holdings Limited.

I also acted for JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production, KMG's subsidiary and at the time the largest listed oil and gas company in Kazakhstan, in respect of US$1.95 billion tender offer launched by the company for its GDRs and shares valued at US$5.6bn and delisting from the Official List of the London Stock Exchange and the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange. Prior to the delisting I advised the company on joint venture arrangements with MOL Group and First International Oil Corporation Group in respect of the production phase of Fedorovskoe oil field in Kazakhstan, on the joint venture arrangements with CITIC Group in respect of the development phase of Karazhanbas field in Kazakhstan, as well as on the acquisition of a 49% interest in JSC Karpovskiy Severniy from MOL Group.

I recently also advised Kazakhstan mobile telecoms operator Kcell on the termination of its GDR programme and the corresponding delisting of its GDRs from the London Stock Exchange and Astana International Exchange.

I joined Fieldfisher in 2013, having been admitted by Queen Mary, University of London to a Degree of Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction by the College of Law, and having trained with one of the international law firms in the City of London.
