Nicolas is an environmental lawyer with expertise in urban planning, energy and climate change law. He focuses on litigation and arbitration, representing private and public clients domestically and internationally.

He holds an LLM on international law and climate change from the University of Edinburgh and completes a PhD in the area of climate change litigation and human rights. Nicolas also worked as a visiting researcher at Tilburg University and as a representative of Belgium at the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Nicolas is a regular speaker on the subject of climate change law and litigation and is also a guest lecturer in the 'International law and sustainable development' masters course at Ghent University.

His mother tongue is Dutch and he is fluent in English, French and Spanish
